Familiarly known as “Da Book” this is the best pen repair manual available. Written by noted pen expert Frank Dubiel, this book (officially titled “Fountain Pens – The complete guide to repair & restoration”) covers in extensive detail all that is required to repair most vintage and modern fountain pens. Section Sealant

Rosin-based section sealant. This is a non-hardening sealant, formulated like the Parker Vacumatic cement of the 1930s. Pen Wax

"InkSafe" is a special additive formulated to achieve three results: 1. Improve ink flow in dry-writing pens; 2. Remove traces of manufacturing oils from ink converters; 3. For maximum anti-bacterial treatment, we recommend the use of our SterilInk product (see below).

“SterilInk” is added to ink to prevent the formation of bacterial or fungal growth. Vacumatic Pellet Tool

This tool is used to aid in the insertion of the diaphragm retaining pellet into the Vacumatic filling unit. Universal "Point Holder Gasket". Ethylene-Propylene

This gasket is used along with the old gasket that came with the pen. It can be used in both the Snorkel and PFM pens. It restores a perfect seal when used together with the worn or leaky original gasket. This is the easiest way to restore a leaking point holder gasket. Perfect seal and very long lasting. These gaskets are made of Ethylene-Propylene rubber and should last at least twice as long as the standard Nitrile gaskets. Use only with pure silicone grease such as the Tryphon product. Moldable Plastic Resin

This is a superb product. The granules (which can be either black or white in color) are immersed in water and heated to 70º C. The granules will soften and at this point the resin can be molded, shaped or applied with a spatula. After the resin is allowed to cool down, it becomes solid and waterproof. A great way to fabricate small plastic parts or it can be used as a filler. 100 grams of granules (or about twice the amount shown in the picture)
